Fees and Rebates
This page provides an overview of session fees and the funding options that may be available for psychological services.

If you are unsure which option applies to your situation, you are welcome to contact the practice for guidance.
Referrers are welcome to contact Jane directly if they wish to discuss suitability or availability.

Session fees
The standard fee for therapy sessions is $220 for a 50–60 minute consultation.
Payment is required on the day of the appointment unless otherwise arranged.
A small number of reduced-fee appointments may be available for clients experiencing genuine financial hardship. These places are limited and offered at the psychologist’s discretion. Bulk billing is not available.
Medicare rebates
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients with a valid referral under the Better Access initiative.
For sessions with a registered psychologist, the current Medicare rebate is approximately $98.95 for a 50-minute session. Medicare currently allows up to 10 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year, subject to eligibility and GP review requirements.
Private health insurance
Some private health funds provide rebates for psychology services. Please contact your health fund directly to confirm coverage, eligibility, rebate amounts and annual limits.
Private health rebates cannot be claimed for sessions where a Medicare rebate is also used.
NDIS participants
Psychological services may be funded through the NDIS for participants whose plan includes capacity-building supports. Sessions are provided in line with the participant’s NDIS goals and plan management arrangements, and follow the current NDIS pricing guidelines.
NDIS funding cannot be used for mental health treatment alone and must relate to disability-related support needs.
Private clients
Clients may choose to attend sessions privately without a referral. Private sessions are not eligible for Medicare rebates, but this option allows greater flexibility in session frequency and focus.

Cancellations & Non-Attendance
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur a cancellation fee. Medicare and private health rebates cannot be applied to missed appointments. Cancellation fees may be waived in exceptional circumstances at the psychologist’s discretion.
